After five years of saving and scheming, we quit our jobs and sold our house in Denver, CO. This is the story of our journey from Maine where we bought Baby Blue, down the US Atlantic Coast (offshore and ICW), through the Eastern Caribbean islands and back again from July 2014 - July 2016. We then returned to shore to build a tiny house, buy land, and have a baby! We're now raising our young son in Western North Carolina and planning our next big adventure.
We've had Baby Blue withdrawal so it was good to finally see what you've been up to since the end of October. LOTS! Interesting to see all your boat repair chores and the unusual trick or treating by boat.
ReplyDeleteDear Ashley Cloutier,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Mike McDowall. On May 1st, I will be launching Boat Radio International, the first radio station aimed at boat owners, sailing enthusiasts and armchair adventurers worldwide. It will be filled with compelling tales of exploration and derring do, and inspiring stories from often ordinary people who’ve done extraordinary things. We will also feature an indelible streak of environmental conservation and a good helping of practical advice for boat owners.
We are gathering material in advance of our launch and I wondered if you’d be happy to give us an interview about what it’s like to live aboard a boat on the high seas and about what prompted you to give up the 9-to-5. It would also be terrific if you could tell us about your vessel and why you chose it, and also about the amazing places you’ve visited, particularly those you’d recommend to fellow adventurers.
We could record the interview via Skype at whatever time and on whatever date was convenient for you.
Best wishes,
Mike McDowall
